Pumpkin Carving

Yesterday Nana called and said that she had pumpkins for us that left from our church's Fall Festival. Tonight I decided to go and get them and try our hand at carving them. Jamie was at work so it was just me and the kiddos. After I started cutting the tops off I remembered how dirty and disgusting pumpkin carving was, because that is normally Jamie's job.

Karson and Andrew did help the best they could cleaning out the seeds, but Zachary started gagging and said that it looked GROSS!!
I pretty much cleaned out three big pumpkins all by myself. I was covered from head to toe in pumpkin guts. After the yucky part was finished we brought them inside because it was beginning to get dark and we started the fun part. Zachary picked a Frankenstein to carve first. I didn't do to great on it!! Andrew went next and he picked a fang face. I got a little better with this one and it doesn't look to bad. Karson went last and she choose a difficult cat. I was scared, but it was the best one!! We then took them outside, turned off the lights, and lit up the candles.

It was very dark outside our house and the kids were scared. I asked them to blow out the candles before we came in, and Zachary bless his heart blew his out and took off running inside. Little did he realize was the front glass door was closed. He ran face first as fast as he could into our front door, because he was scared after he blew out the candle.

Happy 30th Birthday!!

I would like to wish a Happy 30th Birthday to my wonderful husband Jamie!! On Sunday after church I threw a Surprise Party for him at Pizza Inn. It was great because he had no idea that anything was going on. It was the only secret that I have ever kept from him in the 11 years that we have been together. I was so proud of myself.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my best friend, my protector, and my big kid!!! I hope we have many more birthdays together. Love you always!!!

Dance Baby Dance

In September Karson started taking dance at Teele. She is taking a combination jazz and pom pom class on Wed afternoon. She took dance a few years ago and didn't like it too much because of the outfits she had to wear for her recital. She decided that she wants to try again. Dancing is one of her favorite things to do at home. Hopefully they will teach her the way nice respectful young ladies dance, because those of you who have seen her style of dance know that she has her own unique style to say the least. :)

My attempt at a bun!

Upward Models

I find it very interesting that both of my children have been used by Upwards in their advertisements this year and last year. If you haven't noticed Karson is on the Upward signs for flag football and cheerleading that you see in peoples yards and on the side of streets. Last year she was on the same signs. Andrew is on the website, the referee books, and was in Parent Life Magazine last year. His picture is just precious of him praying. Now they both like to tell people that they are famous!!

The picture of Andrew comes directly from the Upward website and the sign of Karson I got from school today.
